Business Development Manager
Overview
We are currently supporting a leading US law firm seeking to appoint an experienced Business Development Manager to its Riyadh office.
The successful candidate will work closely with the firm’s partners and international business development teams to strengthen the firm’s market presence, support key client initiatives and enhance business development activity across the Kingdom.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded business development professional to take on a visible role within a growing Riyadh office and contribute directly to its continued expansion.
Key Responsibilities
- Working with partners and the wider business development team on tenders, bids, proposals and client pitches.
- Identifying potential target clients and new business opportunities within the Saudi market.
- Collaborating with partners to develop and implement business development and client targeting strategies.
- Supporting important mandates and strategic growth initiatives for the Riyadh office.
- Leading the preparation of partner and fee-earner practice overviews for bespoke pitches and proposals.
- Tailoring pitch materials to reflect the requirements of the relevant client, opportunity or matter.
- Coordinating with international business development colleagues to ensure consistency across regional and global initiatives.
- Maintaining and updating credentials, experience statements and other business development materials.
- Supporting client relationship management and wider profile-raising initiatives within the Kingdom.
Requirements
- A minimum of three years’ experience within the business development team of an international law firm.
- Previous experience preparing tenders, bids, proposals and pitches.
- Strong written communication and drafting skills.
- Experience working directly with partners and senior stakeholders.
- A commercially focused and proactive approach to identifying new business opportunities.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- A genuine interest in the Saudi legal and business market.
- Previous experience in Saudi Arabia or the wider Middle East would be advantageous.
