Capital Markets Associate or Senior Associate
Overview
We are currently supporting a global law firm seeking to appoint a mid-level Associate or Senior Associate to its Equity Capital Markets and broader Capital Markets team in Riyadh.
The successful candidate will join a highly regarded regional and international practice advising issuers, financial institutions and government-related entities on sophisticated capital markets transactions across Saudi Arabia and the wider Middle East.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Saudi-qualified lawyer to work on high-profile mandates, take on meaningful responsibility and develop within a growing Riyadh-based practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Advising on equity capital markets transactions, including initial public offerings, secondary offerings, rights issues and private placements.
- Supporting issuers, underwriters, financial institutions and other stakeholders throughout the transaction lifecycle.
- Drafting and reviewing prospectuses, offering documents, transaction agreements, regulatory submissions and related corporate documentation.
- Advising on Saudi capital markets regulations, listing requirements and ongoing disclosure obligations.
- Coordinating with the Capital Market Authority, Tadawul, financial advisers, auditors and other external stakeholders.
- Managing due diligence processes and supporting the preparation of verification materials.
- Working closely with partners and colleagues across the firm’s wider international network on complex local and cross-border transactions.
- Taking ownership of key workstreams and supporting the supervision and development of junior associates.
- Contributing to client pitches, business development initiatives and the continued growth of the Riyadh practice.
Requirements
- A minimum of three years’ post-qualified experience in equity capital markets, capital markets or a closely related corporate transactional practice.
- Experience gained within a leading international or highly regarded regional law firm.
- Strong exposure to IPOs, listings, secondary offerings or other equity capital markets transactions.
- A good understanding of Saudi capital markets regulations and the relevant regulatory framework.
- Strong drafting, transaction management and client communication skills.
- The ability to manage multiple workstreams and take ownership of matters.
- Fluency in English is essential.
- Candidates must be Saudi nationals.
- Saudi legal qualification or eligibility to practise in the Kingdom would be highly advantageous.
