Intellectual Property Senior Legal Consultant / Counsel
Overview
We are working with a leading international law firm on a unique senior hire for its established Intellectual Property practice in Riyadh.
The firm is looking for a highly experienced international IP lawyer, currently based outside the region, who would be interested in relocating to Saudi Arabia for the next 2–3 years.
This is not a traditional lateral senior hire and there is no requirement to bring a portable book of business. The firm is looking for someone with deep technical IP expertise who can work closely with the Partners, advise on sophisticated matters and play an important role in developing the firm’s IP capability in the Kingdom.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with Partners and major clients on sophisticated IP matters
- Act as a senior technical point of reference within the IP team
- Bring international IP experience and technical expertise into the Riyadh practice
- Mentor and develop junior lawyers within the team
- Support Saudi lawyers in developing specialist IP expertise
- Contribute to the continued development of the firm's IP practice in Saudi Arabia
Requirements
- Significant senior-level Intellectual Property experience
- Experience gained within a highly regarded international legal practice
- Strong technical expertise across sophisticated IP matters
- Ability to work closely with senior Partners and major clients
- Strong interest in mentoring and developing junior lawyers
- Genuine interest in relocating to Riyadh for approximately 2–3 years
